Obituary of Eileen Storey

The passing of Eileen Writa (Miner) Storey of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Hayward D. Storey, occurred on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 8, 1938 in McNamee, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma (O’Donnell) Miner. Prior to her retirement, Eileen was an Insurance Broker for Capital Morrison Insurance. She was also a long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #4. Eileen is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Stewart (Dan) of Fredericton, NB and Cindy Munn (Paul) of Calgary, AB; two sons, Neil Munn (Flora) of Medicine Hat, AB and Matthew Munn (Sonia) of Vancouver, BC; 12 granchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Schaufele of Bow Island, AB, Mae McGilligan of Fredericton, NB, Inez Sutherland (Lloyd) of Doaktown, NB, Shirley Mantha and Elma Duder (Al) all of Fredericton, NB, Ruthene Storey (Winston) of New Bandon, NB and Diana Sherwood (Paul) of Nasonworth, NB; brother, Ernest Miner (Brenda) of Fredericton, NB; brother-in-law, Robert Stewart of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Eileen was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Storey; son, Edison Storey; sisters, Georgina Price and Jennie Stewart; brothers-in-law, Ed Mantha, Thomas McGilligan, Reuben Schaufele and Earl Price; nephew, Larry Schaufele; nieces, Debbie O’Hara and Janet Sherwood. Although there will be no visitation by request; a Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2 pm with The Very Reverend Dean Keith Joyce officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery “Clay Hill” Doaktown, NB in the spring.
