Obituary of Mary Currie
The passing of Mary Arleen Currie of Fredericton, NB, wife of Michael Ross Currie, occurred on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 18, 1961 in Dartmouth, NS, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Norma (Evans) MacPhee. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church. Mary went to Nursing School in Dartmouth, NS. She was a Caregiver at Regent 3 Hospital; DVA Veteran’s Health Unit and the primary caregiver of her husband, Michael.
In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her three children, Andrew (Holly), Susan (Christopher) and John; siblings, Ginny Jenkins (Steve), Kitty Condren ( Allan ), Joanne Fancy (Peter), Mike MacPhee (Lisa) and Margaret Campbell ( Joel ); sister-in-law, Carlene; brothers-in-law, Larry, Graham, Russell and Greg; nieces and nephews, Gordon, Casey, Danica, Darcy, Lindsey, Emily, Pierce, and Daniel.
A Memorial Service will take place at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11 am with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Paraplegic Association, NB or the charity of the donor’s choice.
