Obituary of Ralph Ryan

The passing of Ralph Ryan, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Mavis (McGuire) Ryan, occurred peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital with family close to his side. He was a son of the late Royal and Eileen Ryan. Ralph was an accomplished mason, later to become an employee of New Brunswick with the electric power commission until his retirement. He was a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith. In addition to his wife of 61 years, Ralph is survived by his daughters, Debrah (Brian), and Tanya (Steve); sons, James (Jeanette) and Peter, granddaughters, Pamela (James), Peggy (Aaron), Melissa, Victoria and Elizabeth; five great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Robertson (Norvel); several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 2 pm with Pastor John Fournier officiating. Interment will take place in Newcastle Center Cemetery, Minto, NB in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Fredericton Food Bank, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
