Obituary of Ellen Carr

The passing of Ellen Etta “Helen” Carr, of Doaktown, NB, wife of the late Emerson Carr, occurred on May 28, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 23, 1914 in Doaktown, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Sarah (Storey) O’Donnell. Helen is survived by daughter, Rose O’Donnell (Frederic) of Doaktown, NB; one chosen daughter, Duane Scott (Lawrence) of North Vancouver, BC and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Helen is predeceased by her daughter, Merady; son, Jerry; sisters, Goldie, Nora, Pearl and Hazel; brother, Allan O’Donnell. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Friday from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. Russell Morehouse officiating. Pallbearers are Gerald Weaver, Galen Price, Mike and Ernie Robinson and Ronald and Billy Harris; Honourary Pallbearers Ruth and Dr. Heman Chow, Sean Storey, Terry Russell and Allison and Edwin O’Donnell. Interment will take place at Doaktown Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA.
