Obituary of Mona Ross

The passing of Mona Hazel Ross of Lincoln, NB, wife of the late Frederick ‘Ted” Ross, occurred on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on January 23, 1930 in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hazel (Holmes) Murray. Mona worked in Administration for the Federal Government. She was a member of the St. Thomas United Church, Doaktown, NB. Mona is survived by her daughters, Donna Chayer of Lincoln, NB and Karen Gadd (Skipp) of Oromocto, NB; sons, Jim Ross (Carla) of Lincoln, NB, Blaine Ross (Isabel) of Lloydminister, AB, Carl Ross of Boiestown, NB and Joe Ross (Phyllis Ballard) of Lincoln, NB; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Jean Betts of Doaktown, NB, Vivian Savage (Bill) of Fredericton, NB and Mercy Pond of Moncton, NB; brother, Horatio Murray (Eileen) of Doaktown, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Robichaud; sisters, Vera Brawn and Rae Strachan; brothers, Don, Carl, Brian and Robert Murray. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11am with Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating. Interment will take place in Boiestown United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
