Obituary of Linwood Carson

The passing of Linwood “Nin” Chapman Carson, husband of Claudette (Savoie) of Holtville, NB occurred on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on August 26, 1936 in Holtville, NB, he was a son of the late Chapman and Viola (Price) Carson. Linwood was a woodsman and spent many years working for Ashley Colter Ltd. He enjoyed guiding, trapping, loved his woodpile and was a fan of the Red Sox and Canadiens. In addition to his wife of 46 years, Linwood is survived by four daughters, Shelley Carson (Kirk Munn) of Bloomfield, NB, Krista Carson (Thomas Findlay) of Toronto, ON, Jennifer MacKenzie (John) of Mazerolle Settlement, NB and Pamela LeBlanc (Gerard) of Fredericton, NB; 14 grandchildren, Kalin, Nicholas, Deanna, Amanda, Matthew, Emma, Lauryn, Jacob, James, Ashlyn, Denis, Rachel, Dylan and Caleb; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Cohl and Kylie; two brothers, Paul (Lois) and Donald (Edna) both of Holtville, NB; four sisters, Carla Larsen (Arne) of Halifax, NS, Janie Carson of Boiestown, NB, Nora Astle (Reginald) of Astle, NB and Iva Carson of Fredericton, NB; two chosen daughters, Heather Toth and Wendy Loiselle; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Linwood was predeceased by a son, Linwood Jr. and two brothers, Ray Price and Elva Carson. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Monday, October 4, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Stephen Ashfield officiating. Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery.
