Obituary of Rodney Gullison
The passing of Rodney Michael Gullison of Taxis River, NB occurred on January 1, 2020 at his home. Born on July 22, 1958 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Leonard and Margaret (Dorcas) Gullison. Rodney spent his entire career working in the Forestry Industry. He played and coached baseball and hockey. He was also a member of 301Valley League Darts. For many years he sang in a band. He loved visiting his many friends in the community while enjoying a coffee and a smoke.
Rodney is survived by his love of 10 years, Shawna Grant (Norrad); his five sons, Wesley Gullison (Melissa) of Bloomfield Ridge, Mitchell Gullison (Crystal) of Burtts Corner, Marty Gullison (Nadine) of Moncton, Douglas Sullivan of Ontario and Wade Gullison of Taxis River. He is also survived by his step-children, Harley Grant of Taxis River and Martina Grant of Boiestown. Rodney adored his grandchildren, Morgan, Brady, Sophie, Keyah, Judson, Lucas, Cloe, Mollie Mae, Jordyn and Kyzer. He will also be missed by his only sister, Lori (Steven); brothers, Haleigh (Beverley), Terrance (Lynn), Timothy (Denise) and David (Laurie); several nieces and nephews and many loyal friends. Besides his parents, Rodney was predeceased by his brothers, Donald, Glen and James.
Visitation will take place at Gateway of Hope Church, Boiestown, NB on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 2pm with Rev. Rick Brewer officiating. Interment will take place in Parkers Ridge Cemetery at a later date. The benefit Dart Shoot scheduled for Saturday at the Boiestown Legion will go ahead as planned.
