Obituary of Dorothy McAllan

Dorothy Ann went to be with her Saviour on October 2, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on September 21, 1929 in Royal Oaks, Michigan to Bradstreet and Josephine (Murray) Tompkins. She lived in the Fredericton area most of her life; her interests included music, painting, animals and reading her Bible. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. James Walter McAllan; son, Keith Michael. She is survived by her children; Margaret, Dorothy, Charles, Elizabeth, Katherine and Karen (Paul); grandchildren, April (Joe), Ben (Tonya), Hannah, Rachel (Dwayne) and Wyatt DiGiovanni; siblings, Pauline Hodgson, Patty Flemming, Millie Kaarso, Helen Waddell, Charles Tompkins and Mary Fontenot; sister in law, Anne Gordon; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 12-2 pm; followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm. Interment will take place at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Hospice Fredericton or the SPCA.
