Life Legacy
The passing of Jessie Mae Simmons of Fredericton, NB occurred on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 1, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Crawford. Jessie raised four children on the farm in Lakeville Corner, NB, she later moved to Fredericton, where she cared for children and seniors. She always loved to help everyone. The past four years her home was at Paradise Villa, where she loved to comfort anyone who was ill or going through tough times. Mom’s greatest love was her family; her children and grandchildren meant everything to her. She loved nature, her favorite place was at the lake, where she loved to visit old friends, feed the birds and watch the sun and moon over the lake.
Jessie is survived by her children, Donna Fay Cawley (Jerry), Eric Simmons and Pat Wright (Darrell); eight grandchildren, Greg Cameron, Clint Simmons, Jason Simmons, Amanda McGraw, James Simmons, Jessica Estey, Katie Harding and Mark Wright; sister, Muriel Flewelling; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Alden Simmons; granddaughter, Jane Wright; brothers, Arthur and Harold Crawford.
There will be no services at Jessie’s request. Special thank you to the staff at Paradise Villa for the exceptional care they provided to Jessie during her time there.
