I met Ed as he was one of the coaches with the varsity Black Kats football team in 1990. Playing on the defensive line I had daily contact with him. Something that we also shared was our love for Da Bears. We were always talking about the team. After I graduated from time to time Id see him around town or football games. He was a great coach and had much respect for him. Even more so now knowing that he was a Vietnam vet.
My condolences to the family.

Ed's family lived two doors down from us in Mt. Prospect. He kept by brother, Bill, busy with all their adventures and even followed him to live in California where he let my sister and I use his apartment when we visited and he was gone.
They rented motorcycles while they were pretty young and it was the one and only time I rode one. I can still hear Ed yelling at me to get my chin out of his back.
Rest well, neighbor, until we meet again. Nancy Mutert Luce

I worked with Ed in the late 70's, early 80's at Community College's head office. I so enjoyed his stories, and loved Ed's sense of humour. A great guy. Please accept my condolences.

Erica and family - So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I was a colleague of Ed's at Content Alive and although we were often on different sides (he instructional, me technical) Ed remains on of all time favourite work colleagues. We would talk sports and fishing and even managed an evening on Oromocto Lake chasing bass together. We didn't catch much...or rather Ed didn't catch many...I was skunked for the evening while he landed a few nice sized fish. I had not seen Ed much since Content Alive days (mostly as I moved to PEI for 10 years) but somehow we were able to engage in conversation like we had just talked the day before each time we crossed paths. I believe Ed's ability to engage was part of his success in his work as well as his life. Not surprisingly I think of Ed often when engaging in dialog with work colleagues to talk through issues and will miss the chance opportunities of engaging with him directly. Best wishes now and in the future. - Bill
