Obituary of Harry Southworth

The passing of Harry Southworth of Fredericton, NB, husband of Lillian (Hamilton) Southworth occurred on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Shannex - Frederick Hall at the age of 92. Born on March 29, 1927 in Toronto, ON, he was the son of the late Harry and Hilda (Banks) Southworth. Harry worked for IBM for 41 years, was an avid golfer, a talented musician and loved spending time with family. Short in stature but immeasurable in presence, he will be lovingly remembered, and to paraphrase his singing idol Frank Sinatra, Harry “did it his way”. In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by his daughters, Wendy (Andrew Hawkins) and Deb (Roger Guitard); grandchildren Scott, Kristen and Jessica; 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Edith Hawboldt and Elaine Lake; and several in-laws and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public service. A private family gathering will be held in memory of Harry.
