Obituary of Chester Donald Saunders

Life Legacy The passing of Chester Donald “Don” Saunders of New Maryland, NB, husband of Dianne (Little) Saunders occurred on Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 15, 1942 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Walter and Annie (Young) Saunders. He spent his entire working career with NB Power. Don enjoyed carpentry, hunting, fishing, gardening and wine making. In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his two sons, Shawn Saunders (Bonni) and Scott Saunders (Teena); grandchildren, Alex Saunders (Lindsey), Amy Saunders (Sheldon Quinlan), Walter Saunders, Sarah MacDonald and John MacDonald; great grandchildren, Blair Saunders, Angel and Corbin Quinlan; sister, Lois McMahon; sister in law, Ruth Saunders; brother in law, Stephen Little (Dianne); several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Harry Saunders. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 3 pm with Rev. Dr. Kelly Burke officiating.
