Know that we ache for you and hope that in due time your family receives Gods peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers. God is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. And so, trust that he cares for us and he would never bring us pain. A soothing scripture I like is Psalm 34:18 Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. He promised that in the Paradise, we will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free from all problems. Even our loved ones like Perley will be resurrected. (Psalm 37:29; John 5:28, 29) Until then, may you lean on God to give you the strength you need in the days ahead.

We were very saddened to learn of Perleys passing and extend our heartfelt sympathies and condolences for your loss. We have many fond memories of being at the Magie Montral conference about 25 years ago with Perley and seeing how excited he was to be there. I think it was his first magic convention. He was also a very supportive member of the Magic Circle when we used to meet monthly in Sussex. He was a good man and he brought so much joy and amazement to to many people of all ages. That is one of his true legacies. Our caring thoughts and prayers are with you all as you reflect on his life and celebrate his many contributions.

To the Palmer Family;
I was saddened to hear of Perley's passing. On behalf of my wife Renee and the members of The Salvation Army Fredericton Community Church, please accept our sincere condolences and be assured of our thoughts and prayers
for each of you. I had the priviledge of having several pastoral visits with Perley. He was more of a blessing and inspiration to me than I felt I was to him. My last visit this past Monday, we shared some card tricks and had a few laughs. I read the Bible with him and he shared with me about his Faith, and that his trust was in God and his hope of Heaven. I shared a prayer with him and we repeated the Lord's Prayer together. He shared with me that he really didn't want to suffer any longer than God needed him to. I do believe God in His wisdom took Perley home to be with Him. The memory of Perley will live on in the many lives he touched and faces to which he brought a smile. My friend, Perley was not only a magician, his life was an inspiration! In the past months with much discomfort he still continued to share a trick and create a smile on many faces. Someone once said, "when a loved one becomes a memory the memory becomes a treasure."
Thank you to his family for sharing Perley with us.
God Bless you,
Daniel Dearing
