We were very sorry to hear of Rev.Gordon's recent passing. We were fortunate to be blessed with his ministry at Central Presbyterian Church, Brantford.
In May, 1975 Rev.Gordon united us in marriage, assisted by The Very Rev.D.G.Johnston. We were also privileged to have him christen our first born in 1978. He and your mom joined us for a reception in our home following the christening. We have a picture of them both holding our daughter, Sarah, in our album.
He obviously lived a very full life and left your family, no doubt, with many meaningful memories and life lessons.

To the Gordon Family
My sincere condolences on the death of your father. I have many fond memories of walking with Doug at the Regent Mall over the past seven years. Although I only came to meet him late in his life, when I retired in September 2011, we collectively had many good discussions on a wide range of topics including politics, religion and the trends in modern society. I always found Doug very interesting to talk to, given his wide travels in the world as well as his varied life experiences including the death of his two brothers in WWII. His openness to discuss his Christian faith had an impact on mine for which I am eternally grateful to him. Sorry to be late with my condolences as I was away over the Christmas/New Year period visiting my mother and family in Ontario. I only learned of his death on my return.

My husband Paul (1939-2014) always looked forward to each Tuesday morning when he and Doug would meet at the Mall and chat over cups of coffee while trying to solve the world's problems. A special memory! Rest in peace, Doug.
