Obituary of R. Charles Caterini

The passing of R. Charles Caterini of Fredericton, NB, husband of Rose (McDonald) Caterini occurred on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 8, 1928 in North Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Emmanuel and Rose (Wagnies) Caterini. Charles was a Professor at the University of New Brunswick. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church. Charles enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and playing scrabble. In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his daughter, Debra Caterini (Chris) of Fredericton, NB; sons, Richard Caterini of Niagara Falls, ON and Terry Caterini (Mary) of Beaver Dam, NB; six grandchildren, Joey, Christina and Jeff Caterini, Jamie Leigh and Clinton Holmes, and Kelli Reid; great grandchildren Lexi, Emma, Nathan, Zoey, Ella, Ethan, Logan and Scarlett; brothers, Armand Caterini (Zelma) of Minto, NB and Lorenzo Caterini (Joyce) of Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 2 pm with Father Martin Arputham as celebrant. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
