Obituary of Anita Cass

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Anita Martha (McLean) Cass, daughter of the late Adrian and Ella (Urquhart) McLean on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was born in Burtts Corner, NB on June 21, 1939. Anita is survived by her husband of 59 years, David L. Cass and mother of four, Chris Cass of Calgary, AB, Richard Cass (Elisa) of Ottawa, ON, Lori Kinley (Eddie) of Hanwell, NB and Janet Blaney (Joe) of Millville, NB; grandchildren, Chelsea Cass, Erica Cass, Spencer Cass, Catlin Claybourn, Brianne Claybourn, Tia Blaney and Levi Blaney; three step grandchildren, Kristina and Zachary Warren and Andrew Kinley; three great grandchildren, Jaydan and Devon Martin and Aspen Warren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brother in law. In addition to her parents, Anita was predeceased by her grandson, Nathan Cass; brothers, Gerald and Eldon. Special thanks to Pastor Stephen Hoyt; Group #3 of Doctors, and especially Dr. Achla Pond for your attention and professional care over the years. Nurses …you are too many to name…Mom’s earth angels; we thank you all. Mom gave us two extra years to make more memorable moments. We are so thankful. She gave her all for her family. Her battle is won! Rest in Peace Mom. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 1-2 pm followed by a Celebration of Anita’s Life at 2 pm with Pastor Stephen Hoyt officiating. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Burtts Corner Baptist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
