My sincerest condolences to the family of Fred McNeil. I will always remember Fred as the one person who could be called upon for everything and anything. The lights of his plow could be seen many times in the middle of the night in winter storms when he came to the rescue of my sister Shirley Dale. He was their corner stone in so many times of trouble, the comforting one and also the one who could make every situation a no problem event. He was always ready to have a good laugh and take part in the crazy antics and adventures his friends often got him into. He will be remembered fondly and truly missed by everyone who had the good fortune to know him.

Our dad worked with (NBTel) and was good friends with Fred many years ago. When our mom died unexpectedly in 1977, Fred stepped in to provide much needed distraction for me and my two brothers (we were at the time 6, 7, and 11) so dad could get through those difficult tasks required at such times. He took us on lots on road trips in, what we thought at the time, was the coolest little half ton on Earth. He really made so much difference at that time. Although that was 40 years ago, I still remember how he made sure we had some fun at a bad time in our lives. For that, I will always be grateful to Fred. He truley was a great guy who definitely made a difference and left a lasting impression on my life. RIP.
