Obituary of Mary Nash
A member of St. Mary’s First Nations, Mary Jane Nash of Fredericton, NB passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 11, 1946 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Lillian (Polches) Nash. Mary Jane worked for Service Master. She was catholic by faith. Mary Jane enjoyed playing Bingo, latch hooking and cards.
Mary Jane leaves behind her daughters, Gail Estey (Carl) and Teresa Lint (Joey); son, Gainer Somerville (Kathy); five grandchildren, Carl, Dana, Ronald, Krystal and Michael; twelve great grandchildren, sister, Elizabeth Lajoie-Nash; brother, Jim Nash; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Kimberly; sister, Linda Nash and her best friend, Gwen Strong.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11am with Father Monte Peters officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be, Gail (daughter), Gainer (son), Carl Estey, Joey Lint, Michael Lint, Jimmy Summerville and Ronald Estey. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. A special thank you to the ER Staff at the DECRH and a very special thank you to her family doctor, Dr. Bock. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
