Obituary of Canon William MacMullin
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bill MacMullin, husband of Anne (Belyea) MacMullin on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Born on September 2, 1945 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Roland and Irene (Jamieson) MacMullin. Bill devoted his life to his family and the service of others, especially those who are often overlooked. He began his ministry in Western Newfoundland and then served in Campbellton and Saint John before retiring in Fredericton from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in 2015 after twenty years of service. Throughout his life he was also actively involved with many other ministries, most recently the Canadian Bible Society.
On his days off and during his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time at the lake and pursuing various hobbies including carpentry, blacksmithing, and bargain hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is lovingly missed by his children, Sarah Dickinson (Duane), Jennifer MacMullin, and David MacMullin, and beloved grandson, Arthur Dickinson. He is also survived by his brothers, John MacMullin and George MacMullin (Mary McMahon). He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Hope MacMullin.
Visitation will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church, 75 Main Street, on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. In celebration of his life, a funeral service, followed by a reception, will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 11 am with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Building Fund. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
