Obituary of Marion Love

The passing of Marion Bird (Hine) Love, formerly of Mactaquac, NB, wife of the late Eldred Love, occurred on July 12, 2018 at York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB. Born on June 16, 1939, in Burtts Corner, NB, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Dora (Bird) Hine. Marion was an R.N. as well as a Dairy farmer’s wife. She was a member of Mactaquac Baptist Church where she was active in the choir, enjoyed snowmobiling, maple sugar, camping, outdoor activities, waterskiing, cooking and canning. Marion is survived by her sons, Craig and Roger Love of Mactaquac, NB; grandchildren, Andrew and Jeremy Hine, Channing and Brandon Love and their mother, Cindy; great grandchildren, Seth and Lily Hine; sister, Doris Bernard (Andy); brother, Rick Hine (Debby); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant daughter; her sister, Jean Branscombe and brothers, Lloyd and Donnie Hine. A Memorial Service will take place at Mactaquac Baptist Church, Mactaquac, NB on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 1 pm with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank York Care Centre for their care and compassion during Marion’s time there.
