Obituary of Kimberley Stephens
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberley Dawn Stephens (Dixon) which occurred on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Fredericton Hospice House after a short battle with cancer. Born in McAdam, NB on December 21, 1967, she was the daughter of Joan and the late Curtis Dixon.
She is survived by her loving husband, Todd Stephens and their three sons, Jordan (Shawnna), Nicholas (Geneviève LeBlanc) and Matthew (Megan Smythe). She is also survived by her brothers, Peter and Craig; parents in law, Joanne LeBlanc (Robert), Mitchell Stephens (Lisa); several brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kim also leaves behind one grandson, Samuel Elias (Jordan and Shawnna). Being a Grammie to Samuel was one of her proudest milestones.
Graduating from FHS in 1985, Kim made a living through a 27 year career as an important part of the pharmacy staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. It was there she made many cherished friendships with colleagues who were like family to her. Kim always enjoyed cottage life at Magaguadavic Lake at her family cottage, and in more recent years, she and Todd found their own piece of heaven at Lake George, NB. This was a place which she could truly find peace from the busy day to day lifestyle. It was here Kim established friendships with “Lake Friends” whom she held very dear to her heart.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating.
