Life Legacy
The passing of Joyce Irean Bennett of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Charles Bennett occurred on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at York Care Centre. Born on January 9, 1932 in Kingsclear, NB, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Beatrice (Kelly) Brown. She was an Etymology Technician for Canadian Forestry. Joyce spent a great deal of her life learning and lovingly teaching crafts to anyone who took an interest; excelling in ceramics, quilting, photography and painting. She instilled her love of crafts to her children, grandchildren and friends.
Joyce was loved by her sons, Bruce Bennett (Joan) and their children, Shallon and Jared; the late Greg Bennett (Helena) and their children, Jennifer and Justin; daughters, Cathy Scheepers (Dutch) and their children, Maria and Johan; Marilyn Urquhart (Doug) and their children, Amy, Katie, Emily and Andrew; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Gail MacLellan, Delma Whitney and Arylene Thompson; brother, Weyman Brown (Grace); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband and son, she was predeceased by her great grandson, Logan; sister, Norma Jean Murphy; brothers, Norman and Glenwood Brown.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 1-4 pm. A Private Family Interment will take place at a later date.
