Life Legacy
The passing of Merle “Mannie” Raymond Stewart of New Bandon, NB husband of Dora “Dody” (Johnston) Stewart occurred on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Hospice House Fredericton. Born on May 11, 1946 in McNamee, NB, he was the son of the late Donald and Helen Stewart. He was a Forestry Technician with the Department of Natural Resources. He was a member of McNamee Assembly. Mannie loved classic cars, bluegrass music, doing ancestry on line and will be remembered as the morning weather man for his facebook friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Laurie Stewart (Joselyn Tessier) and Jack Stewart (Sandra Lamb); grandchildren, Maggie, Hillary and Jayda; sisters, Norah Storey (Leonard), Marilyn Price (Vimmy), Wendy Lyons (Byron) and Angela Clark (Jerry); brother, David Stewart (Peggy); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Arlene Stewart and Velma Comeau; brother, Donald Stewart; mother and father in law, Earl and Jean Johnston.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at McNamee Pentecostal Assembly on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 1 pm with Rev. Allison Cromwell officiating. Interment will take place in McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery of Porter Cove. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice House Fredericton or the Central NB Nursing Home.
