Obituary of Percy Hunter

The passing of Percy Ray Hunter of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 2, 1948 in Bloomfield Ridge, NB, he was the son of the late Clarence and Susan (Boies) Hunter. Percy worked for numerous years as a ladies hairstylist. He had a great love for flowers and enjoyed time in his flower gardens. Percy is survived by his siblings, Doris Doak, Elizabeth Spencer (Dell), Garth Hunter (Bernice), Bert Hunter, Stan Hunter (Joy); sisters-in-law, Wendy Hunter and several nieces and nephews; his dog, Horton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Helen Bruce (Lloyd); brother, Blaine Hunter; sister-in-law, Ida Hunter and brother-in-law, Everett Doak. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Boiestown United Church on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Brian Curtis officiating. Interment will take place in the Boiestown United Church Cemetery.
