Obituary of Purdy Parker

PARKER, PURDY WALTER The passing of Purdy Walter Parker of Doaktown, NB, husband of the late Joyce (Ward) Parker occurred on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on June 30, 1929 in Doaktown, NB, he was the son of the late Walter and Olive (Robinson) Parker. Purdy was the manager of Lounsbury’s Furniture for 35 years. He was a member of the St. Thomas United Church, Doaktown, NB; the Doaktown Legion and a Lifetime Member of the Doaktown Curling Club. Purdy is survived by his daughter, Lorri Amos (Ricky) of Doaktown, NB; grandchildren, Chelsie O’Donnell (Adam) and Travis Amos (Felicia); great grandchildren, Jaxon and Carly O’Donnell and Madison Amos; sister, Joyce Charters (Bill) of Doaktown, NB; brother, Ray Parker of Fredericton, NB; sister in law, Kay Parker of Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Kevin Parker and brother, Huntley Parker. A Memorial Service will take place in St. Thomas United Church, Doaktown, NB in the spring of 2018. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
