Obituary of Julia Price
It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Julia Price, which occurred in her home on Friday, October 6, 2017. Born on July 12, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Perley & Nancy (Lovelace) Munn.
Julia is survived by her youngest son, Erdie (Julie) Price; Erdie's daughters, Veronica Simpson and Savanah Price; daughter-in-law, Janice (Buddy) Wellwood and Janice's son, Shawn Price; grandchildren, Paula (Shawn) Carroll, Julie (Shawn) Carr, Warren (Melissa) Price and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also survived by her siblings; Ruby Goodfellow, Margaret Donnelly, Helen Storey and Melvin (Lorna) Munn; sister-in-law, Vera; and special aunt, Lottie O'Donnell.
Besides her parents, Julia was predeceased by her eldest son, Warren and his wife Linda; middle son Wilfred; granddaughter, Monica Simpson; siblings, Isabel, Josephine, Nelson and Benny.
She was a loving and caring Mother who worked hard to provide for her boys. She was a lovely cook, making homemade bread and preserves for family, neighbours and friends. She was a faithful member of the McNamee Pentecostal Church where she loved her Church family & youth dearly.
Visitation will take place at the McNamee Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 12 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2 pm officiated by her brother in law, Rev. Cole Price and assisted by Pastor Allison Cromwell. The interment will take place immediately following the service at the McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery in Porter Cove. All are welcome for a reception in the McNamee Church lower level following interment.
