Obituary of Douglas Cass

Cass, Douglas Wayne The passing of Douglas Wayne Cass of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Ruth (Bigney) Cass occurred on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at York Care Centre. Born on June 23, 1941 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Gordon and Myrtle (Reid) Cass. He was the Office Manager at Bemrose & Kilburn. Doug was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing hockey in his younger years; he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Doug is survived by his sons, David (Martha) and Gregory both of Fredericton, NB; sister, Anne-Marie Sullivan (Joseph) of Langley, BC; brother, David L. Cass (Anita) of Burtts Corner, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Pauline Gorman, Patricia Loney, Joan Cass and Joyce Fisher; brothers, Donald and Clarence Cass. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 7-9 pm. A Private Graveside Service will take place in Zionville Community Cemetery.
