Obituary of Rebecca Green

It is with great sadness the passing of Rebecca Fern Green, born on September 18, 1950 in Grand Manan, NB, occurred on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Rebecca enjoyed reading and travelling. Rebecca is survived by her daughters, Elaine Jewett (Neil), Cathy Smith (Rick), Patricia Ward and Tracey Matheson; step son, Jim Ward; five sisters, Peggy Ross-Seely (Michael), Bernadine Zwicker (Howard), Claudia Brown (Charlie), Kim Henry (Robert) and Nancy Ross; four brothers, Percy Ross (Suzanne), Reid Ross, Sherman Ross (Stacey), Vernon Ross (Britt); and her step mother, Maxine Ross. Rebecca cherished her grandchildren, Rod Ward (Lori), James Ward (David), Bradley Bates, Ashlie Ward (Luc), Courtney Cogswell (Jamie), George Thomas Jr., Maxine Thomas, Sadie Thomas and Joseph Hanley. Besides her parents, the late Donald and Wilba (Green) Ross and her husband, the late Albert Ward, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Rilla Green and Kathleen Ross. There will be a Celebration of Rebecca’s Life at York Funeral Home-Fireside Room, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 1-3 pm.
