Obituary of Jennie Coy

The passing of Jennie Coy of Fredericton, wife of the late Lawrence (Lefty) Coy, occurred on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Sackville, NB on July 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Pansy Lund. Jennie is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Henry Bertrand) and son, Bob (Adrienne); grandchildren, Stacy Coy (Steven Lewis) and Mark Coy (Kerstin); great grandchildren, Thomas, Lewis, Grady and Morgan Coy; sisters-in-law, Dorothy LeBlanc and Bertie Coy; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Amy, Emily, Jessie and Dorcas; brothers, Herman and John. Jennie lived life to the fullest. Blessed with boundless energy, she loved working in her garden, socializing with family and her many friends and playing bridge. Fiercely independent, she was very loyal and compassionate and never had an unkind word for anybody. In accordance with her last wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place in Fredericton at a later date. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
