To Hazel's family, our condolences at the passing of your Mom and Gram. Hazel's smile and cheer about life was always infectious. We will always associate her friendliness with our visits to the store over our years in Boiestown. May the wonderful memories you share of her continue to bring brightness to your days. God bless.

Dear Family of Hazel, I join the others in offering my condolences in your great loss. Some people have a 'way of being' in this world, and Hazel was certainly one of those people. She was the fabric of the community, lending an energetic hand to all those in need. On my visits home, a trip to Mccloskey's store was always foremost. And Hazel was certainly at the centre of those visits with her welcoming smile. Her vibrant presence greeted us all and will remain a part of our memorry forever. A remarkable woman.... May God watch ore' you in your time of sorrow. As you mourn her passing, may you also celebrate her meaningful life ...now eternal in the hands of the Lord. God bless.

Dear Beverley, Susan, Brian, Eileen and families, I was very sorry to hear about Hazel's passing. I know these past few months have been a real struggle for your family. I'm sure all of Boiestown and surrounding communities have so many great memories of Hazel, Darrell and McCloskey's Store. I have lots of great memories of fun times spent with all the staff and the staff parties we hosted. May your memories be your comfort in the days ahead. May you rest in peace Hazel, your work here is complete!

My condolences to Hazel's family and friends. My fondest memories of Hazel go back to when I was younger, before I moved from New Brunswick to the western provinces. You could count on Hazel being at the church on Sundays in Boiestown. It was however at the McCloskey's store that I would see and talk to her the most. It would be days from Christmas; there would be the dilemma of the holiday shopping. For years I relied on Hazel to help me out. If necessary, I would wait for her to finish with another customer in order to ensure that we could view and pick out the current Holiday season's items. Over here and under that there would be gems that would appear. "Your Mom I believe would like this, or perhaps this would be even better". There would be an item picked out from "Hazel's china collection". I don't know for certainty that she managed the china in the store, but for some reason we always referred to it as such. "Your Dad has a bit of a sweet tooth" she would say, "we have some Pot of Gold chocolates to go along the other things". I never had to return anything because it did not fit. Everything we picked out regardless of who the item was intended for met with approval. I would always walk out of the store with a few dollars left in my pocket, and a smile for my face for having survived the Christmas shopping in one place. Fond memories, rest in peace.
