Obituary of Mary O'Hara

Mary Bernadette O’Hara of English Settlement Road, NB, passed away at home on Monday, July 17, 2017. Born on October 6, 1942 in Stanley, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Linna (Quigg) O’Hara. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. Mary was a very talented piano player and had a beautiful singing voice. For several years she and friend Moe kept seniors toes tapping to their music at dances. Mary is survived by sisters, Anne O’Hara and Greta Murphy; brothers, Eugene, Alton, Lynn, Michael and Paul O’Hara; nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Carl, Richard, Floyd, Henry, Edward, Robert and Patrick O’Hara. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Stanley, NB on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11am with Rev. Dr. Michael McGowan as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolence may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
