Obituary of Esther Pond

Pond, Esther Bertha Maureen It is with great sadness that the family of Esther Bertha Maureen Pond (Porter) announce her passing at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on June 8th at the age of 76. She was strong until her last breath, just as she was in life. Esther had the most kind and humorous spirit and everyone that met her couldn't help but love her. She was an amazing cook and worker. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She leaves behind her children Stephen Pond (Fran) of Doaktown, Heather O'Donnell (Allison) of New Bandon, and Shelley Rogers (Lindsay) of Freetown, PE; grandchildren, Bradley Pond (Selina), Ellis Pond, Kyle O'Donnell, Leanne O'Donnell (Billy), Stewart Rogers (Danielle), Shanae Rogers, Sherra Rogers; great-grandson, Hudson Pond; her siblings, Janet Burke (Tom) and Gail Stewart (Sonny), several special nieces, nephews and in laws. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Merlin Pond; her son, Kevin; parents, Geneva and Ernold Porter; and brother, Leonard Jardine. A Funeral Service will be held from St. Thomas United Church, Doaktown, NB on Monday June 12, 2017 at 2pm with burial to follow immediately after the service in St. Thomas United Cemetery. At Esther's request there will be no visitation, so the family requests you join them in the adjoining hall immediately following the burial, for a time of remembrance and to say Hello. "A mother's tasks are never done, and Heaven must have needed one. For Angels come and took her hand, and took her to the promised land".
