Obituary of David Palmater
It is with mixed emotions that the family of Nelson Palmater announce his passing on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Hospice House, Fredericton NB. While we will greatly miss him we rejoice that he is no longer suffering from cancer. Born on January 19, 1955 in Dalhousie, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Grimes) Palmater and the husband of Sara (Crawford) Palmater.
While Nelson had many interesting careers, he was best known as a mechanic. He was a member of Eel River Bar First Nation, Alcoholics Anonymous, New Brunswick Aboriginal Peoples Council, and Blissville Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Nelson is survived by his son Jed Palmater (Megan) of Fredericton, NB.; his sisters Norma Noel, Mary Diotte-Brisk, Phebe Noel, Sandra Palmater, Glenda Fraser (Phil), Patsy McKinney (Shawn), Pamela Palmater (Arlen), Tanya Palmater, and Tara Palmater; brother Frank Palmater (Mary); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his infant brother, Lionel.
