Obituary of Glenwood Waugh

The passing of Glenwood Alton Waugh of Fredericton, NB husband of Ruth (Dykeman) Waugh occurred on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Shannex Thomas Hall. Born on February 29, 1932 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and Effie (Hawkins) Waugh. Glenwood worked in administration for NB Liquor. He was a member of Maugerville Baptist Church. Glenwood had a keen interest in aviation and old cars. In addition to his wife, Glenwood is survived by his daughter, Luana Dixon (Mark) of Douglas, NB; sons, Richard Waugh (Gretchen) of Cincinnati, OH and John Waugh (Pam) of Fredericton, NB; granddaughters, Stephanie Shanks (Evan), Julie Stevens (Johnny) and Mariel Dixon; grandsons, Geoffrey and Jeremy Waugh and Brandon Dixon; great granddaughter, Lily Stevens; sister, Elsie Fullerton (Laurie) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Andrew “Andy” Waugh. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood and Rev. Dr. Neville Gosman officiating. Interment will take place in Maugerville Baptist Cemetery at a later date. The family wish to extend their gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Thomas Hall for the care and attention given to Glenwood.
