Obituary of Juanita Carr
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Juanita Helen Carr (Ellison) of Doaktown, NB. Juanita passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Born on March 5, 1932 in Doaktown, NB, she was the wife of the late Floyd Carr; daughter of the late Grace (Beek) Dobson; adopted daughter of the late William and Zenith (Murphy) Ellison. She worked as a cleaning lady for many years. She was a member of Abundant Life Church and also attended Capital Community Church, Fredericton, NB. Juanita enjoyed knitting mitts and socks, word search, puzzles, also enjoyed travelling and most of all shopping.
Juanita is survived by her son, Henry Carr (Debi) of Alberta; daughters, Peggy Storey (Colin) of Fredericton and Julia Robinson (Lenwood) of Alberta; grandchildren, Carmel, Jennifer, Trevor and Wesley; great grandchildren, Fiona, Isaac, Shawna, Geneva, Suzannah, Ethan, Wyatt and Maverick; sister, Rosella Harris (Rae) of Fredericton; brothers, Wesley Munn of Miramichi, Reginald Munn (Betty) of Fredericton and Richard Dobson (Beatrice) of Doaktown; daughter in law, Wendy; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Christina Ballard, Phyllis Llewellyn, Marie Kelso, Mabel Parker, Nola Thompson, Nora Pratt, Ruby Chute, Kathleen Bird and Lillian Ellison; brothers, Nathaniel and Milburne Munn, Arnold, Weldon, Edie and Charlie Murphy and Robert Ellison.
Visitation will take place at Abundant Life Church, Main Street, Doaktown, NB on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Abundant Life Church on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Ronald Carroll officiating and Rev. Russell Morehouse assisting. Interment will take place in First Pentecostal Cemetery, Doaktown, NB at a later date. Sincere thanks to Dr. Leona Johnson, Dr. Debra Gowan and the doctors from 3 West Oncology Services, and to Extra Mural Nurse, Kim Baxter (and EM Team) for all her home care.
