Obituary of Marcus Currie

Currie, Marcus Robert The passing of Marcus Robert Currie, husband of Ethel (Harnish) Currie, occurred on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 16, 1933 in Burtts Corner, NB he was the son of the late Robert and Pearl (Elliotte) Currie. He was a member of Works of Faith Assembly. Marcus retired from Devon Lumber in 1992. He enjoyed helping people with his skills in carpentry. In addition to his wife, Marcus is survived by his daughters, Dixie Lee Carr (Eric) of Geary, NB, Miriam Burden (Garry) of Goose Bay, NF and Esther Anne Koch of Germany; sons, Timothy Currie (Loralei) of Hamilton, ON and Nathanael Currie of Hamilton, NB; step-son, Maurice Harnish (Darlene) of Lincoln, NB; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Marcus was predeceased by his sister, Maxine Palmer; infant nieces, Marlene, Marilyn and nephew Robert. Although there will be no Visitation or Funeral Service, a Graveside Service will take place in the Burtts Corner Community Cemetery at a later date, with Pastor Ivan Carr officiating.
