Obituary of Anna Estey

On Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, another beautiful and special angel was called to rest. Anna Bernice Estey of Burtts Corner, NB, born on December 28, 1951 in Perth Andover, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Glenna (Bishop) Estey. Anna was an inspiration and joy to all those who knew her. Anna's love for life was contagious. She enjoyed reading (especially her bible), puzzles, word searches which were part of her daily routine and attending church. Anna was the “go to” for names and birth dates. She was known for the BEST Hugs ever! Anna is survived by her brothers, Eugene Estey (Maureen), Russell Estey and Dale Estey (Sheila); sisters, Doris McGivney and Donna Murdock; sister in law, Amy Estey; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her sister, Georgie Estey; brothers, George and Merle Estey. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 1 pm with Rev. David Wellwood and Pastor Stephen Hoyt officiating. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
