Obituary of Melvin Hood

Life Legacy The passing of Melvin George Hood of Lake George, NB, occurred on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 24, 1948 in Magundy, NB, he was the son of the late George Hood and Christine (Smith) Whitlock. Melvin is survived by his daughter, Wendy Koenig (Greg) of Churchbridge, SK; sons, Troy Hood and Shawn Hood both of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Kayleigh and Maddison Hood, Coady Donahue, Courtney McLean, Dylan and Katlyn Koenig; sisters, Glenna Barton (Eugene) of Sherwood Park, AB, Janet Howland of Fredericton, NB, Delma Rogers (Tom) of Halifax, NS, Grace Brown (Wayman) of Fredericton, NB and Roberta Joyce (Doug) of Sherwood Park, AB; sister in law, Wendy Hodd; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Alton Hood and brother in law, Richard Howland. Although there will be no visitation a Memorial Service will take place at Upper Kingsclear Baptist Church on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Terry Messer officiating. Interment will take place in the Magundy Sand Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
