Obituary of Elizabeth Morehouse

The passing of Elizabeth Carrie Morehouse, formerly of Doaktown, NB occurred on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born in Ludlow, NB on December 22, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie (Pond) Burke. Elizabeth was retired from Canada Post and was a past volunteer with Saint John Ambulance. Over the years she was active in the Doaktown Wesleyan Church including time spent as a Sunday school teacher. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Lori Anne Morehouse (Brian Watson) of Doaktown, NB, Ricky Morehouse (Kathy) of Miramichi, NB, Stephen Morehouse of Fredericton, NB and Trevor Morehouse (Shawna) of Storeytown, NB; their father, Perley Morehouse; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Calhoun of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Walter Burke (Lorna) and Tom Burke (Janet), both of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by an infant daughter, Cindy; sister, Isabelle; brothers, Allie, Earl and Bill; daughter-in-law, Debbie Warren. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Miramichi Valley Church, 7769 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 2 pm with Pastor David Storey officiating. Interment will be in the Doaktown Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NB or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
