Reynolds, Cecil Herbert
On October 21, 2016, Jesus said, “Well done good and faithful servant, I have prepared a place for you” and welcomed Cecil Herbert Reynolds home.
Cecil was born on December 4, 1929 in Douglas, NB. As a dairy farmer, Cecil utilized both science and hard work to improve crop yields, milk quality and production of his farm in Scotch Lake. Cecil lived his faith with his family, his neighbors and his community. As a founding member of the Scotch Settlement Union Church, he served as deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent for many years. He was also a member of the Orange Lodge, the Conservative Party and the New Brunswick Jersey Association.
He is survived by his children, Alice Finnamore (Mike), Marie Yerxa (Larry), Karen Johnston (Terry), William Reynolds (Anne), Paul Reynolds (Wendy), Andrew Reynolds (Katelyn), step-children, Renee Pecskovszky (Piet), and Rob van de Moesdyk (Julie), grandchildren, Lorna, Michael, Jill, Jennifer, Cynthia, Matthew, Holly, Andy, Cody, Jocelyn, Sonya, Emily, Johnny, Ryan, Shelby; great grandchildren, Elisabeth, Anna, Katie, Jordan, Brendan, Erin, Canaan, Zachery, Lucas, Anthony and Marylou; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Cecil was predeceased by his wife, Joyce (Sellick); wife, Corrie (Brant); sister, Georgia Hunter; brother, Walter Reynolds; granddaughter, Sara Barron and daughter-in- law, Louise Reynolds.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Scotch Settlement Union Church on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment will take place in Scotch Settlement Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Scotch Settlement Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
