Obituary of Kenneth Brewer

The passing of Kenneth Melbourne Brewer of Burtts Corner, NB, husband of Juanita (Wiggins) Brewer occurred on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 13, 1929 in Burtts Corner, NB he was a son of the late Vernon and E. Electra (Yerxa) Brewer. Kennie was a mechanic for several years and in later years drove truck. He had a love for nature and the outdoors. In addition to his wife, Kennie is survived by his children, Eric Brewer (Pamela), Cathie Gilbert (Ron Rinehart) both of Fredericton, NB and Karen Quinn (Gordon Phippen) of Florenceville-Bristol, NB; grandsons, Brent, Jeff and Andrew Brewer, Vernon and Nathan Gilbert; granddaughter, Emma Gilbert; great grandchildren, Jaden and Clara Brewer, Logan and Hayden Gilbert; sister-in-law, Phyllis Brewer of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Kennie was predeceased by his granddaughter, Monica Gilbert; brother, Douglas Brewer. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 2 pm with Pastor Stephen Matthews officiating. Interment will take place in Keswick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cornerstone Bible Church, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donor’s choice.
