Obituary of Elizabeth Curtis

The passing of Elizabeth “Betty” Anne Curtis of Fredericton, NB, wife of William A. Curtis, occurred on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 30, 1936 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hazen and Laura (Williams) Jordan. Betty was a member of Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church, the Cotton Mill Quilt Guild and the Gideon Auxiliary. Besides her husband, Betty is survived by her daughters, Cathy Hachey (John) of Brown’s Flat, NB and Susan Weisenburger (Daryl) of Spruce Grove, AB; son, Robbie Curtis (Julie) of Fredericton, NB; sisters, Phyllis Parent of Barrie, ON, Shirley Maguire of Saint John, NB, Nancy Donovan (Tom) of Fredericton, NB and Cindy Henry (Gordie) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Kendra, Adam, Laura, Kohl, and Drew; great grandchildren, Mya, Jace, Carmine, Corbin and Seth; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her son, Terry Curtis; grandson, Michael Curtis; brothers, Fred Jordan and Ron Jordan. Visitation will take place at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church, 53 Corbett Ave. Fredericton, NB on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Thomas officiating.
