Obituary of Geraldine Doherty

The passing of Geraldine Pearl Doherty of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Robert Doherty Jr. occurred on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the York Care Centre. Born on November 16, 1923 in Temperance Vale, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Laura (Marney) Graham. Geraldine had worked in the office at the Marysville Cotton Mill. She was a member of the Marysville Baptist Church. Geraldine is survived by her sons, Duane Wright (Judy) and Kevin Wright (Rose); grandchildren, Terry Wright and Tammy Lee (Matt); great grandson, Alex Wright; step grandchildren, Reuben (Isis), Adam (Judy), Andrew, Aaron, Sarah Peter-Paul ; sisters, Darlene Hughson (Allan), Donna Kupkee (Robert), Shirley Estey, Winzora Swain (Don), Lou Cummings (Malcolm) and Wilza Abernethy (Osborne); brothers, Arnold Graham and Ardean Graham (Darlene); sister in law, Ruth Graham; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Doris MacFarlane (Perley) and Muriel Blaney (Frank); brother, Dawn Graham; grandson, Adam Wright; sister in law, Norma Graham and brother in law, Robert Estey. Visitation will take place at Marysville Baptist Church on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 1:30-3pm and will be followed by the Funeral Service at 3 pm with Rev. Ralph Irving officiating. Interment will take place in Marysville Baptist Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
