Obituary of Austin Pineault
Surrounded by his loving family, the passing of Austin Joseph Pineault of Fredericton, NB, husband of Leatha (Chase) Pineault occurred on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 2, 1928 in Duvar, PEI, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Richard) Pineault. A welder by trade, Austin was very proud to have worked on many big projects such as the Mactaquac Dam, Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station and the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, just to name a few. Austin enjoyed hunting, fishing and tapping trees for Maple Syrup, but his greatest love was his family.
Besides his wife of 65 years, Austin is survived by his children, Eric Pineault (Carol), Annette Powers (Bill), Brenda Moorcroft (Richard Steward), Eydie Lynch, Derrick Pineault (Cindy), Kim Morgan (Matthew); 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Austin was predeceased by his grandson, Anthony Moorcroft; sister, Eleanor Arsenault; brothers, Wilfred and Pete Pineault; son in law, William Moorcroft.
A Private Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. A Private Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would to thank all of Austin’s caregivers for their kindness and care over the years.
