The passing of George Burton Carnahan of Fredericton, NB, beloved husband of Pauline (Sheppard) Carnahan occurred on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
George was born on the 23rd of March 1939 in Gray Rapids, NB, to James and Sarah (Warren) Carnahan. George lived most of his childhood in the Miramichi and Fredericton areas before joining the Royal Canadian Navy in 1956. An avid outdoorsman and lover of golf, George was on a continuous journey to improve his skills. Active in the Lions Clubs of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick for many years, his work led to him being name District Governor for the Lions clubs of Nova Scotia, and subsequently those of New Brunswick and Maine.
