Obituary of Jacqueline Butler

The passing of Jacqueline “Jackie” Sierra Butler, wife of the late John “Jack” Butler, occurred on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 07, 1942 in Fredericton Junction, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Jessie (Hall) Manning. Jackie enjoyed bowling with UNB retired employees. She received the Distinguished Service Award from UNB in 2006. She was an annual member of the Fredericton Playhouse. Jackie is survived by her daughter, Sherri Thomas (Stewart) of Fredericton, NB; granddaughters, Stacey Thomas (Mike Ross) of Halifax, NS and Kristin Thomas of Halifax, NS; sister, Evelyn Skalski (Frank) of Buffalo, NY; brother, James Manning (Lorna) of Tracy, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Jackie was predeceased by her twin brother, John Manning; brother, Wesley Manning and sister, Alice Wosley (Ambrose). By request of the family, there will be no Visitation or Funeral Service. An interment will take place at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date.
