Obituary of James Robert Corbett

The passing of James Robert “Bob” Corbett of Fredericton, NB, husband of Ann (MacNeill) Corbett occurred on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 31, 1927 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Horace and Hannah (McKeen) Corbett. He retired from sales at Irving Oil and previously worked as a Brakeman for the CNR. Bob enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He loved to socialize with friends and took pride in his grandsons. Bob always had time for everyone. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his daughter Janet Corbett Garland (Bob) and son, Kevin Corbett all of Fredericton, NB; grandsons, Eric, David and Mark; several nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth and Douglas Corbett. There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Service will take at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 770 McEvoy Street on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 2 pm with Canon Kevin Stockall officiating. Reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery at a later date. No flowers by request, for those who wish remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
