Obituary of James Stickles

The passing of James Amos Stickles of Royal Road, NB occurred peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born on November 4, 1926 in Woodlands, NB, he was a son of the late Amos and Margaret “Maggie” (Wilkins) Stickles. James was the youngest and the last surviving member of his immediate family. James is survived by his children, Ross (Gail) of Spruce Grove, AB, Wendy Hawkes of Kingsley, NB, Kevin (Vicki White) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Melissa, Jodi and Geoff Stickles, Jamie Rice (Kris), Richelle Anderson (Chris) and Dakota Stickles; great grandchildren, Colin, Jordan and Marlee Rice and Davin Anderson; special friends, Jackie and Debbie and his bingo buddies and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, James was predeceased by his son in law, Tony Hawkes; siblings, Earle, Garfield, Viola, Myrtle, Inez, Gussie, Laura, Violet and Evelyn. There will be no visitation by request. A Graveside Service will be held in Woodland Cemetery, Woodland, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
