Obituary of Adelina Di Adamo

The passing of Adelina Di Adamo, wife of the late Adelio Di Adamo, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, December 21, 2015 at her home. Born on March 22, 1922 in Italy, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Dominica Di Carlo. Adelina was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. Adelina is survived by her daughters, Lucy McGilligan (Gerald) of Fredericton, NB, Mary Blyth (Donald) of Fredericton, NB, Lia Di Adamo of Fredericton, NB and Caterina D’Andreamatteo (Mario) of ON; seven grandchildren, Dina Stephens, Joe D’Andreamatteo, Donald Blyth, Tammy Blyth, Darren Blyth, Terri Cooper and Andrew McGilligan; 11 great grandchildren, Amber Stephens, Madison Stephens, Leonardo Blyth, Molly Cooper, Elliot Cooper, Harper McGilligan, Olive McGilligan, Isabella Blyth, Rowan Blyth, Kane and Cody D’Andreamatteo. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by son, Augusto Di Adamo; her grandson, Jason McGilligan; sister, Maria Di Diodato and Sandina Di Giamberardino; brothers, Berardino Di Carlo, Antonio Di Carlo, Alfredo Di Carlo, Angelo Di Carlo and Dominic Di Carlo. She is also survived by many loving and exceptional nieces and nephews and great great nephew Eric Hebert. Also survived by chosen daughter and son, Susan and Fabian Sanglay; chosen granddaughters Kara Dawson and Christina Elkhazin and their children Hunter and Rex Dawson and Cole and Hanna Elkhazin. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6 - 7 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 7 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place at Hermitage Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
