Obituary of Sharon Dempsey

The passing of Sharon Margaret Dempsey occurred on November 27, 2015 at her home in Fredericton, NB. Born on August 19, 1955 in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Shirley Cooke. Our mother was a kind, loving person. Nicknamed Cookie growing up, clearly because of her maiden name, but more so because of her love of cooking. She adored people; with a fondness for children, the elderly, but especially her two daughters. She was rich in creativity, whether it was decorating for the holidays, coming up with bedtime stories or concocting the perfect recipe. She enjoyed reading, going for walks and chatting on the phone with friends and family. We will miss her infectious laugh, big heart and our nightly talks with our mother. Sharon is survived by her daughters, Amber Lenihan (Shaun Lingley) of Saint John, NB and Kristy Lenihan of Tornoto, ON, and sister, Karen Meechan (Charles) of Toronto, NB. Although there will be no Visitation, a Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 02, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev.
